Hi there Dazzle,
I've been looking for a long time for a good blog detailing what a foreigner thinks of "my country". It's funny to read about people being startled by the "one-cookie-with-the-strong-coffee" stories and stuff like St Nicolaas (seriously, zwarte piet is just fun for children, nothing more. We have a bit of a racist past, apartheid is a Dutch word for a reason. No point denying it, just let the children have their fun. The more people whine about it the more stubborn we'll get :) )
I like your blog and I'm going to go on reading it!

Don't get me wrong, I love living in Holland, and that's why I continue to live here. Of course, there will always be things I don't understand (or possibly agree with) but I'm not here to judge---only to observe, perhaps comment, and ultimately, learn.
